On Wednesday, Dec. 3rd, Grassy Narrows First Nation will be celebrating a year of the blockade against the destruction of their
traditional lands.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune buys its newsprint from Abitibi-Consolidated's Kenora mill, the same one that processes wood extracted from Grassy Narrows First Nation's traditional land use area. The Minneapolis Star Tribune is owned by the McClatchy Co., the tenth largest newspaper chain in the US.
Learn more about a year-long blockade which is stained with the blood of 17 yo Native youth who was shot dead by OPP in August.
