'Someone is going to slip through': Worry grows over influx of asylum seekers

'I think there's going to be confrontations,' Emerson town reeve says

Greg Janzen, the reeve of Emerson, Man., where dozens of would-be refugee claimants have recently crossed the porous Canada-U.S. border, says some area residents are beginning to express anxiety about the influx.

The small border town of 671 has been galvanized to help asylum seekers, and the issue has certainly put the community on the map, attracting media attention from across the globe. Janzen said he's done 95 television interviews over the last two weeks. Before that he'd only done one, a dozen years ago.

But as the number of asylum seekers continues to surge, it's beginning to put a strain on local resources and raise some security concerns over potential risks to the residents, he said.

"It's starting to get concerning, because the numbers are growing," Janzen said.

Yep, f*ck our Natives, it's more important to help out the rest of the third world so we can get a nice pat on the back from the UN. You know, the same UN that crapped on Harper and Canada for the living conditions of too many Native people that is now praising Trudeau who has zero plans to do anything for them.

Of course they are going to sneak through, maybe already have.
If they are innocent of any ill intentions, why are they so eager to flee the U.S.? The U.S. won't bother them if they have nothing to hide.
That is enough to raise suspicion.

The Trudeau is doing right by our natives by putting pipelines through their reserves. Isn't he just a considerate little monkey?
Damn Liberals are just as bad as the Conservatives.

Actually, a small town could be overwhelmed more easily than a city like Toronto. Toronto has plenty of infrascruture to absorb the influx, a small town doesn't.

That said, I think we should welcome all Convention refugees. It's the right thing for Whites to do. :)

But no one is forcing the refugees to remain in a small town. Small towns could do their part by sending them to Toronto that has the necessary infrastructure.

Who will pay for the bus ticket/airfare? Also, Toronto isn't exactly overflowing with shelter spaces either. Currently a bit of a controversy because some druggy oded and died because he couldn't find a shelter bed (that would let him shoot up probably).

Also, usually refugee claims from the United States are refused. The USA is not considered an oppressive regime (despite how much certain snowflakes here howl about it).

Convention refugees don't go sneaking across boarders to third countries. What these are is que jumpers.

Just think of it... our illegal immigrants are going to be your refugees. Irony.

Maybe the feds(trudOWE) should have thought of that before they opened the boarder. I happen to know that we have boarder guards. Why are they not guarding the boarder?

We should just declare Canada a visa-free zone. That would help to reduce tariffs between the world's Whites.

Of course a visa-free zone costs the government no money since it doesn't guarantee any social services. It just allows people to stay and work on their own money.

As for Convention refugees, since they might not be able to work and might depend on social assistance, then we ought to define Convention refugee as narrowly as international law will allow.

Canadians are anxious? You mean the alt-right is anxious. You mean the racist, white supremacists are anxious. You mean the rightards who condone bombing the crap out of countries populated by brown people are anxious. Stupid people.
