Multiculturalism is a complete failure in Canada, a failure just like the useless Libs.
In Canada, the only way things get done is when caucasions of European decent get it done, you only have to look at our military.
Visible minorities in Canada make up over 22% of Canada's population, therefore our military population should be made up of 22% of visible minorities, but in reality our military is only made up of less than 4% of visible minorities. Whites do all the heavy lifting.

To use pretty standard reasoning in the conservative community, they simply aren't as qualified. If there is a more qualified white guy then he gets the nod.

Chances are pretty good that's what Canada will be like in a few years the way it's going now!
In the star wars universe including "Rogue One" the majority of fighters are white so if Disney thinks its not an issue then theres no issue.

When has Canada ever had a common culture beyond a common official one?
English, French, Hawaiian, Chinese, and other merchants communicated with one another in Wawa as a lingua franca on most of the Canadian West coast until the late 1800's!

Canada has always been multicultural but it was never the big deal it is today. The word, 'multicultural' hadn't even been invented then. People were focused on making good lives for themselves and their 'culture' wasn't something they wore on their sleeve.
I wish it were that way again. There wouldn't be all the wrangling about 'rights vs. rights' that goes on now. Minorities are no longer focused on fitting into their new environment; they are focused on hanging onto the life they brought with them which in the past few decades has been not the kind of life we wanted to see promoted here.
The immigrants of the past were intent on becoming part of their adopted society and made the necessary sacrifices to do so. Now the immigrants seem to want our society to make the sacrifices so that they don't have to change.
Immigrants from countries other than Europe did not start coming to Canada in larger numbers until after WW11.
They couldn't handle the harsh climate/environment before then so they waited till most of the infrastructure was in place before they migrated here.

Having a pulse and the ability to speak french are the only qualifications required by the military.
Im not sure about the french thing because they said after testing and my schooling i qualified for any position. And i only know like 100 words of french.

The first two groups still haven't integrated each other as shown by Ontario and Quebec and the rest of the immigrants usually settle in with 'folks from back home' and the culture that was flawed continues on as if nothing has changed.Dropping the old language is the first step to becoming a Canadian. Pretty much nobody would qualify when you add in the other traditions that should have been abandoned when you put your boots on the ground.

Japanese, Chinese and Indian came here earlier to do work diligently on specific jobs. The African, Caribbean and Mid-Eastern replaced the European immigrants after the war and that's when the trouble started.
The highly qualified professionals and tradesmen from Europe went to the end of the line and that's where they stayed ever since. There are still British and Europeans waiting to get into Canada who can't get in because of the flood of useless, lazy freeloaders who come to take advantage of our social systems.
