with her popularity rating below the 20% level, mr. wynne finally admits that skyrocketing electric rates were a ''mistake.''

mistake??

if it gets the Liberals defeated, it's not a mistake, it's a damned victory!!

OTTAWA — Premier Kathleen Wynne is calling high electricity prices her “mistake.”

In a speech to party faithful at the Ontario Liberal annual general meeting today in Ottawa, Wynne says she takes responsibility “for not paying close enough attention to some of the daily stresses in Ontarians’ lives.”

She says while she is proud of the work done to remove coal from the system and ensure adequate supply, it is unacceptable that some people have to choose between paying for food and heating.

As Wynne’s personal popularity has plummeted under 20 per cent, rising hydro bills have become one of the most pressing issues for the governing party ahead of the June 2018 election.

She says she thinks her polling numbers are low because people think she’s not who they elected, and that she has become a typical politician who will “do anything to win.”

Wynne is committing to visiting every single riding between now and the election to connect with Ontarians.

So, when is she going to roll back hydro prices by at least 40%? Oh, wait a minute, politicians don't do that. They just wait for six months and then put them up again. They know voters have short attention spans. But not this time.

And really, rollbacks only happen at Walmart.

Those are the first honest things that Wynne has ever said and I'm sure she's only saying them now to try for forgiveness/sympathy.

Well mistakes can be fixed so when is she going to fix her mistake?

I think Wynne is going the same way that Clinton went; DOWN. Because she thought she was all-powerful, undisputable, unaccountable and dishonest. Politicians like her only listen to the people who agree with what they say. They ignore those with different views and consider them insignificant and 'deplorable'.

Guess what, Ms. Wynne - those insignificant deplorables vote too!.

Um, mistakes are generally unintentional, not planned out for years. As for her being proud to have eliminated coal while making sure to provide adequate supply, what a load of crap. All they needed to do was shut down the coal fired plants, no wind or solar farms were required. 3900MW of wind capacity wasn't required to ensure an adequate supply. Wind power is only 11% of Ontario's total generating capacity. Solar isn't even at 1%
During peak hours, Ontario supplies hydro to 14-15 million households. There aren't anywhere near that many households in Ontario. Hell, there aren't even that many households in the entire country. So all that excess is exported and sometimes even dumped, for which the Ontario ratepayer gets to pick up 100% of the tab.
Yep, the Wynned sock's hydro policies have been fantastic...for New York and Pennsylvania anyway.
