It is a very real danger to have JT make deals with China. There might be capable people surrounding him who could advise him, but he does not appear the type that would listen. China comes with lots and lots of experience and we go in with JT!!

Great point Remington.

China already owns a good parcel of Canada....namely several pulp and paper mills out west....

I am sure there are a lot more industries they would like to own.

What else do you think China will target DaS?

Generally, the Chinese are not hostile: they defend themselves .. true, but they prefer peace.
Of course they desire to prosper and to advance as a dignified nation and a powerful one, but not a transgressor.

This is history ... so has it been changed!!??

The general description or criteria of any people will almsot stick to that people; won't it?

Example from history:
It is said (probably) that Alexander the Great arrived with his army to China .. the China emperor came to face him with a great army that occluded the horizons with its multitude ! .. Alexander conceived fear of such great army .. the emperor demanded a meeting with Alexander before the battle .. so Alexander came to meet the China emperor ..

The Emperor of China said: What do you want from us?
Alexander (was extremely brave); he said:
Either you surrender or give the tribute or fight.

The Emperor said: How much do you demand?
Alexander said: it is so and so.
The Emperor said: I agree to give you the tribute so take your army and go away!

Alexander was surprised and said: You are not obliged to give tribute when you have such greatly numerous army!
The Emperor of China said: This army which you see is only the first part of my army.
Alexander said: So why do you agree to give the tribute?
The Emperor of China said: "The life of even one soldier is more precious to me than all the tribute that I give."

So Alexander was admonished by such words of the Emperor of China.

And I don't know about the authenticity of such story; it is written in some literature books.

Anyhow Alexander the Great was a righteous and wise man who worshiped God alone and he fought to spread the monotheism and the 'exclusive devotion to God alone."

N.B. The story above is not in the Quran.

Hard Fact about China !!

In 2010, China produced 11 times more steel than the
United States.

New World Record: China made and sold 18 million
vehicles in 2010.

There are more pigs in China than in the next
43 pork producing nations combined.

China currently has the worlds fastest train and
the worlds largest high-speed rail network.

China is currently the number one producer in the
world of wind and solar power, but don't use it
themselves. While they manufacture 80% of the
world's solar panels, they install less than 5% and
build a new coal fired power station every week.
In one year they turn on more new coal powered
electricity than Australia's total output.

China currently controls more than 90% of the
total global supply of rare earth elements.

In the past 15 years, China has moved from
14th place to 2nd place in the world in published
scientific research articles.

China now possesses the fastest supercomputer
on the entire globe.

At the end of March 2011, China accumulated
US$3.04 trillion in foreign currency reserves—the
largest stockpile on the entire globe.

Chinese people consume 50,000 cigarettes every second.

They are already the largest carbon dioxide
emitter and their output will rise 70% by 2020.

And we think we're saving the planet?!
It will not make one iota of difference what
we do in Australia, Canada, the United States
or anywhere else in the world for that matter.

All the politicians are doing is increasing our
cost of living and making our manufacturers
uncompetitive in the world market, with their
idiotic carbon tax.

When countries like China are growing and
consuming at these extraordinary rates!

Time to wake up!

A price war for golden triangle opium over Afghan opium is a win-win for consumers of said opium. A tid-bit for the silver lining crowd.

Very strange indeed are such people: the Zionists!
Do you want all blessings and bounties exclusively for you only apart from all other God's servants?
Therefore, you resent that people may be prosperous and any nation may become wealthy and progressive!

Quran 4: 83-85, which mean:
[Then God – be glorified – explained about the stinginess of Jews and their envying the messenger of God:]

53. f Or have they [Jews] a portion of the kingdom? Then g they would not give to people [: the Arab] even a jot h.

54. Or do they envy the people [: the Arab] for [the bounties] that God has given them out of His favor i ?

But We have already given the family of Abraham the Book j and wisdom k, and given to them a great kingdom l.

55. And of [Jews] are [some] who have believed in the [Quran], and of them are [some] who have turned away from it m; but Hell is sufficient for [their] burning n.}
................................................................

53 f It implies: Is the earth, and all that on it, their own possession, so they dispose in it as they like, and they want the revelation to come down on them, but not on others, or they have a share with Us in the kingdom, therefore, they object to us about the revelation to Mohammed?
53 g if the kingdom was by their hands,
53 h i.e. the amount that the a bird may peck; this is a parable of the Arab to indicate the little amount.

54 i For that He sent them an apostle (or a messenger) out of themselves, and gave them the Quran.
54 j i.e. the Torah to Moses, and the Psalms to David.
54 k To Luqman [: Tobias]; but they did not work according to the Torah of Moses, neither did they listen to the Psalms of David, nor did they receive the admonition of the wisdom of Luqman [: Tobias].
54 l i.e. much possession, but their kings did not thank God for the kingdom that God gave to them: on the contrary, they disbelieved and invited their peoples to the association with God, so they changed their religion, altered their religious laws and associated others in the worship of their Lord, so they worshipped the Baal, Astaroth, the star Sirius and the two gold calves made for them by Jeroboam.
The meaning: Why do you envy the Arab, for that We revealed the Quran to Mohammed? Didn't We give to the Children of Israel: the Torah to Moses, the Psalms to David, the Wisdom to Luqman [: Tobias]? While Jews did not hold fast with the Law of Moses, neither did they work according to his Torah, but they changed its statements: so they associated with God frequently, and worshipped the idols many times and killed the prophets publicly; so God refused them and chose the Arab instead of them.
The kings of the Children of Israel who associated with God, were fifteen kings: the first of them was Jeroboam son of Nebat who made for them two gold calves and commanded his people to worship them, and the last of them was Zedekiah who was killed by Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon.
Their names and stories are mentioned in the Bible, First and Second Books of Kings.

Moreover, Jesus Christ warned them that the revelation will be shifted from them to the Arab nation, as in the Gospel of Matthews, chapter twenty one; he said:
"Therefore I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and will be given to a nation bringing forth its fruits"; i.e. to a nation working according to it.

55 m i.e. from the Quran, and have not believed in it.
55 n For those who turned away from it and did not believe in it.

The interpretation is by Mohammed-Ali Hassan Al-Hilly.

CentrePort Canada is a dry port located in Winnipeg and Rosser, Manitoba. It was created in 2008 by provincial legislation called the CentrePort Canada Act.[1] The Act established the mandate of CentrePort Canada and designated 20,000 acres to the tri-modal dry port, situated adjacent to the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport. CentrePort Canada offers greenfield investment opportunities for a wide variety of business operations including distribution, warehousing and manufacturing.

In addition to a 24/7 international cargo airport, CentrePort Canada provides access to three class I rail carriers and national and international trucking routes. The Governments of Manitoba and Canada have invested $212.4 million for CentrePort Canada Way,[2] a 10 km expressway to better connect companies in the dry port to key gateways and corridors, which opened in November 2013. In March 2014, the Province of Manitoba announced it will double CentrePort Canada Way to by-pass the RM of Headingley and connect directly into the TransCanada Highway.[3]

Winnipeg, and the dry port are located near the geographic centre of North America. The city has direct connections to both the Port of Vancouver, and the Port of Prince Rupert, Canada's only major Pacific ports. Winnipeg also has a direct connection to Churchill, Manitoba, a major grain export facility and the only Canadian deep-water Arctic port.

CentrePort Canada is one of a growing number of inland terminals in North America and faces competition from other prairie centres such as Port Alberta or the Global Transportation Hub in Regina.

Since CentrePort's inception, 220 acres have been sold to 42 new companies in two business parks on the CentrePort footprint.[4] This includes the sell-out of phase 2 of DTZ Winnipeg’s Brookside Industrial Park West.[5] Three companies that opened facilities in the last several months in the business parks include: ISCO Industries,[6] Arctic Beverages[7] and SMS Equipment.[8]

In 2016, CentrePort is breaking ground on a new 700-acre Rail Park, which was triggered by a $25 million private investment from BroadGrain Commodities to build a grain handling facility and bean processing plant.[9
