good times.

[...]"silence fell over the convention floor at Edmonton’s Shaw Conference Centre as delegates realized that not only had Mulcair not attained a respectable level of support, he hadn’t even reached the 50-per-cent threshold — unheard of in a federal leadership review".

Mulcair ousted but work will continue, says NDP MP Sheri Benson | Saskatoon StarPhoenix

Apparently top 10 contenders to lead federal NDP, the party of diversity, are 7 white men and 3 white women

Things look different from the drivers seat.

The NDP wants to return to the protester vote category.

That is a much smaller constituency than the one that they managed to reach over the last decade. The "very Left" and "very Right" are both dillusional and think that "the people" are going to flock to their wing-nutty policies because of the righteousness of their causes.

Canadians are at or near the center. This is not news.

Actually, the NDP tried to appeal to the moderate part of the country. They even went so far as to remove 'socialism' from their creed and promised a balanced budget.

Canadians didn't care for a balanced budget, so they voted for the Liberals who now have policies that are traditionally NDP.

Trudeau was smart to change the Liberal platform or we would likely have an NDP government right now.

No, the Liberals just re-occupied that center taking moderate left and moderate right votes to do it.

You're in denial.

The country has never voted for deficits.

And their climate change policy, FN, tax shift from rich to the middle class, enforcement of equality and political correctness, investment in 'social infrastructure' etc is textbook NDP.

Conbots just don't want to accept the fact that this country is actually very left and rejected the centrist (Harper).

He's a scapegoat. The NDP showed themselves as they are .. another morally bankrupt party ... and their core abandoned them so they made Tommy the scapegoat. You don't think he did his plans without the party's blessings do you? They wanted power and it failed. They will now go back to being the obscure 3rd party that nobody cares about and occasionally whose policies are stolen by the even more morally bankrupt Lieberals.
