Canada's GDP beats expectations, grows 0.6% in January, best month since 2013

Canada's economy expanded for the fourth consecutive month in January, with gross domestic product growing by a more-than-expected 0.6 per cent from the month before.

The figure was twice as much as what economists polled by Bloomberg were expecting and represents the strongest monthly GDP growth since July of 2013.

Goods-producing industries expanded by 1.2 per cent, Statistics Canada reported, far better than the 0.4 per cent growth seen in the service sector.

"Today's monthly GDP report is perhaps the most encouraging in recent memory," TD economist Brian DePratto said. "Strength was broad-based, with nearly all major industries growing in January."

"Evidence continues to mount that the rotation towards manufacturing/export led growth is now beginning to take place."

Yay! Good! As noble as it is to be drawers of wood and hewers of water, there is no better wealth generator invented yet that tops manufacturing.

So obviously trudOWE's massive deficit to jumpstart the economy was totally unnecessary.
Proving he is totally incompetent.

He did give himself a raise right before negotiations for public servent contracts are up for renewal, to reward himself for his extra incompetence. So at least he's being consistent about showing he has absolutely no clue of what he's doing.

Or, alternatively, you could say that obviously the Liberal gov't is doing the right things to get the economy moving again.
Don't trouble yourself. Trudeaubama could wipe out every last ISIS member, reduce the number of regulations and bureacrats in Canada by 90%, cut taxes by 90%, deport all the Muzzies, make every Mountie a genuine square-jawed, fair, and professional upholder of the law, balance the budget and run a surplus, build a Canadian super-military, and rename Quebec "All-Things-Anglo-Canadian-Are-Wonderful-and-Perfectland," and tax and his buds would still hate him.

You really like thanking Saudis lol

And so should you!! Imagine, they have single handedly, Ended Canada's Oil commodity policy, with the flick of a wrist on a pipe valve. You should follow Trudeau's example and *** kiss those Saudi's

Even more for help jump starting manufacturing with that 2 billion $ military contract. Ontario will be on top again in no time.

It's all very odd why Saudi's would help the Liberals so much.......

Then again, Harper never kissed *** the way Justin can

It employes a lot more than that when the spinoffs are included. Whole communities are dependent on resource jobs.

Okay let's be exceedingly generous and say the it employs one out of four ... one out of five.

But they all live in a part of the country that has nothing but GOOD people living in it. That other three quarters, who earn their living making things, selling things to foreigners, inventing things ...they're all BAD people because they live WAAAY OVER THERE where there are only bad people.

That's wot my pastor sez, anyway and he's a Christian.
