Liberal government fully restores refugee health care program

Canada's Liberal government says all refugee health care benefits will be fully restored to pre-2012 levels by April 1.
Refugees from any country of origin will be covered once again, following several years of confusion and patchwork solutions after the previous Conservative government scaled back the interim federal health program in an effort to save an estimated $20 million annually.

In addition, Immigration Minister John McCallum and Health Minister Jane Philpott announced Thursday that starting April 1, 2017, additional coverage would be offered to refugees before their departure for Canada, to cover:

Medical examinations required for immigration.
Vaccinations.

Treatment of disease outbreaks in refugee camps.
"It is the right thing to do," McCallum told reporters in Ottawa, saying the changes would not only improve the health of refugees, but they would also help protect the health of all Canadians.

How generous of the federal government with the provincial governments' money. I suppose they will be increasing transfer payments appropriately?

Good.

The cuts to the program, made by the Conservatives under the leadership of the Right Hon. Stephen Harper, P.C., M.P., were not based on good government policy — they were based on an appeal to the socially conservative, oftentimes racist and xenophobic, political base of the Conservative Party.

What f-cking joke of a fluff piece. Trudeau was forced to after giving the benefits to only Syrians while others were getting sweet f-ck all and got pissed off.

You stupid f-cks will believe anything.

And I think they are going to see that liberals simply do not care unless it affects them personally.

So you think that refugees should get better health care than Canadians? How very nice of you to spend our money.

Some Provinces are saying to Turdeau "no more until you get your sh-t together".

Like that is going to happen.

It took the brainiacs in BC three months to figure out that refugees should have been shipped to rural areas where they can actually rent a home on welfare equivalency coughed up by the Feds.

A family of 4 gets $920 for rent in BC. I'm paying $860 for a one bedroom apartment and that is only because I bought a condo that won't be built for two years from the developer. Otherwise it would have been $1160.

You do realize they can't do it all at once?
Fluff fluffer, fluff, lol.

The intention is to bring it for all refugees and this is just the first step.
I wouldn't think a fluffer like you, that hates brown people and supports the creation of cultural ghettos would rail against Liberal discrimination.

Oh, and 70% of Canadians, still say no thanks to more refugees.

You of all people should be all for it as the big pharma companies that experimented on Indians now has a new set of lab-rats to test 'meds' on. Baffin Island Prison comes to mind if you need a reference.
