So how much do these temporary employment agencies make off the backs of temporary foreign workers?
Why not admit them all as refugees and voila, it's just takin' care of Canadians
The solution really is that simple... You need to call me before these things become problems, m'kay?
I don't know what unions are advocating for TFWs but my union certainly is not. We will accept professionals such as engineers and management for foreign companies working on construction projects.
In the article, the group advocating for TFWs rights wants to make them permanent residents with a clear path to citizenship.
That would have made sense a few years back, but with the economy shrinking (along with job vacancies), that will be a very difficult sell
So what's new? Liberals have been putting foreigners ahead of Canadians for decades. Why would we be surprised?
The Liberal mantra is, "We Canadians have it so good, we should help the whole world". Well my question is, 'Who made it 'so good'?
We, the ones who pay the bills did so why now are we expected to give what we've worked for away?
We won't keep having it so good if all our hard work and tax dollars go to helping foreigners who haven't contributed a cent and haven't improved conditions in their native countries in centuries.

No, TFWs are important on the large construction projects I work on. WE have engineers, experts in various fields and managers from all over the world.
