Is it possible that in sexual matters, the right wing conservatives might be ahead of the left wing in their thinking?

If not, then what should the left do to help us save our children from the indoctrination via internet porn into unhealthy and unwanted sexual habits? Or have them not be able to perform without porn?

I consider myself left wing but I think we may be going a tad far and should move to the right on this issue due to things like you saw in the clips above as well as what is shown in this clip below.

At one time, parents would have closed any shop that gave access to the young to porn. Yet today, parents do not seem to care and as more and more young children get cell phones, parental prohibition will be impossible.

Have parents forgotten how to parent and are men and women willing to allow the status quo to ruin the sexuality of the next generation?

To date, I have lived by the above quote. I do not lack confidence in our adult population but see this issue as more of a medical one and I am willing to censure for our children's sake.

It doesn't matter if it is porn or bible studies. Censorship is bad. Until there is a law forcing you to take part it is none of your business. I suppose you get to be the one that determines what is to be sencored and what passes too.

It is the parents responsibility to censor or to decide what to censor for their kids. It is not that of the government or the internet to censor everybody because your kids might be looking.

And just to be clear, when you say "child porn" you are talking about porn watched by minors. Note that child porn is illegal and therefore censored right now.

When I talk of child porn I, like you, am talking of the porn presently censored to which I hope they add all porn.


I agree that it is the parents responsibility but our hands are tied as for 1, most parents are not qualified nor do they want to do the teaching. This is a multi-generational problem as spoken about in that first link. For 2, children know more about the technology than parents and censorship is nearly impossible without help.


Parents should be promoting censorship as a part of the responsibility you and I agree is theirs.

Nah, My mother had a major caniption when she found out I was looking at "dirty magazines" at age 14 & I didn't turn out too perverted. I suppose there is a limit as to how much this practice is distracting a kid from other normal healthy pursuits. Maybe a flag should come up when all the pages are stuck together. Anyway if you tell a kid no, it's all the more incentive for him to carry on to excess.
