I think they made the right decision going with the photogenics. Although Mark is the strong serious kind of competent projection I think the lids want some Camelot stuff in the post election atmosphere to firm the national backbone for the defence of Canadian values in the face of relentless attacks (on babies) by global warming deniers and their mestastizing militant factions which no doubt will have to be dealt with in defence of national security. The smile will help do that.
