2014 Ontario Public Sector Salaries Disclosed
Ontario is Improving Transparency Across the Public Sector
In keeping with Ontario's commitment to openness and transparency, the government has released the salaries of Ontario Public Service (OPS) and Broader Public Sector (BPS) employees who were paid $100,000 or more in 2014.
The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act requires most organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to disclose annually the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in a calendar year.
Creating a more open and transparent government is part of the government's economic plan for Ontario. The four-part plan is building Ontario up by investing in people's talents and skills, building new public infrastructure, creating a dynamic, supportive environment where business thrives built on a foundation of fiscal responsibility and building a secure savings plan so everyone can afford to retire.

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act applies to the provincial government, Crown agencies and corporations; Ontario Power Generation, Hydro One and their subsidiaries; publicly funded organizations such as hospitals, municipalities, school boards, universities and colleges; and not-for-profit organizations that meet a funding threshold.
