Prime Minister Stephen Harper's telegenic wife Laureen as much declared herself a combatant for the 2015 general election with a short but partisan, rabble-rousing speech in front of a 1,000 Conservatives Tuesday night.
The political press had already been tipped that Laureen would play a heightened role in the lead-up to the October's 2015 election, and Tuesday's speech, at an Ottawa hotel where the Conservatives were holding their annual Christmas party, appeared to fit in line with expectations that were raised earlier this year.
