homeless or not, people can figure out that if they don't have a house of their own, or any place
to live, they won't choose to go east and freeze to death.
they will choose to live, even if its not in a manner they would
prefer, at least they can survive the weather, and will be taken
indoors if it does become too cold.

Ending homelessness is just not realistic. I feel sorry for the homeless as much as anyone but I feel even more sorry for land lords who get their places trashed, by people who will pawn the faucets for another fix. Not to mention creating fire hazards for their neighbours. I do think however that every effort should be made to find a home for those are willing to work and capable of holding down a job.
