Some of Stephen Harpers Broken Promises What’s your Number?

Will you be next?

Note this page has not been updated after the 08 Election was called an event that broke another promise and was a fitting end to his first term in office

Stephen Harpers Broken Promises

Sh!t Some of these promises I like. Why they have to have a photoshoped pic of Harper this only makes it more wing nut.

I think a bigger problem than politicians making "promises" is the electorate believing these f**king promises. Anyone over 6 years old should know they are not worth the paper they are written on. For one thing, they don't state that promises can only be fulfilled if conditions stay the same as when the promise was made and that in itself is deceitful to say the least. I often wonder is the electorate isn't stupider than the politician. At least they know how to be able to count on a pension for life starting at a young age.

Harper promised he would dismantle the country from a social point of view
that is what his promises meant. People don't listen and then they scream
the politician broke a promise when in fact they didn't they were planning to
shaft you all along and used fancy words to make it sound appealing.
Listen for the catch words. "we will make you more competitive"
Translation "we will lower your standard of living"

The list goes on. I will say he has concentrated attacks on almost everyone.
Seniors, the poor, government employees, the middle class, and about those
careers for youth, he ran the TV commercials and no program existed

Everyone has a day of reckoning though and the people get to make his government
more competitive by returning them to opposition, a minority government or just wiping
them out like they did lying Brian.

You really want to listen to the screaming when taxes are increased as they WILL be under Junior or Mulcair?

JLM you are partly right but not altogether. The problem is this government
taxes people and spends its money helping business and the military while
claiming they can't do anymore.
As for the military they did need equipment and investment the trouble is the
government Harper's botched every purchase they made and we spent all
the money and have little to show for it. Business has done little for the country
we have given them all kinds of breaks and we have a higher unemployment
rate than even the USA.
People want their service structure back. They don't want two month waits for
EI and other programs. They want the jobs promised first though.
In addition senors are not going to have access because they are not familiar
with new technologies and the services are online.
the polls show a steady drop in the popularity of this government to the point
where folks like me just want them gone.
We are deficient in real leaders but Harper is the worst of the three he won't get
my vote as for the other two I am watching.

You forgot to mention attacks on ex-pat Canadians. We're supposed to be for free trade but not actually leave the country for opportunities it would seem since that would be sacriligious.

Honestly, when we vote, aren't we generally just voting in who we think will be the lesser of the three evils (since most of us don't vote PQ or Green)? Pretty much all politicians will break at least one promise.

Well, of course, they are all a bunch of A$$holes, focused on staying in power long enough to draw the pension and any other perks they can get their hands.............it's not rocket science. Who else but criminals can run up $1/2 trillion worth of debt?
