Chris Hadfield, retired Canadian astronaut, lands CBC gig

Canada's most famous astronaut has a new gig.

CBC says Chris Hadfield will be a recurring contributor on its nightly news show The National and on CBC Radio One, starting Monday.

It says the retired spaceman will "bring his insights on pressing issues using his unique perspective from an inspired and exciting career and life."

Hadfield went viral online last year while tweeting from his post on the International Space Station.

He was the first Canadian to command the ISS, the first Canadian to operate the Canadarm in orbit, and the first Canadian to walk in space.

He recently released a memoir titled An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth.

Myself I enjoy most of the Members here- whether I agree or disagree- It is if they make a good post, back their position, can discuss it without going off the deep end.
Not the never ending BS I got from Knucklehead. Not worth the time.

Really eh!
What an insult to Hadfield's intelligence.
As far as being a career civil servant. Money well spent.

Positive comments from the right for me?

Okay, it's time buy a gun.

Hatfield is a good guy. He seems the type to keep you on the right path if you're completely tripping balls.

Like if there was some kind of massive projectile heading for a nearby facility, he could whip out an etch a sketch, make a couple of quick calls, and the whole thing would be taken care of without anyone knowing about it.
