First of all let me say I don't like Trudeau, and that is also what bothers me.
Trudeau will win the next election or force Harper into a minority government
so he can't do anymore damage to Canada.
yes polls go up and down they are snapshots in time however even when the
tories go back up they never come close to the old numbers they used to get.
their poll rise is les and less all the time. They have to apease their base.
the base is out of step with the rest of the country
There is a real sense in the air that people want change and who ever shows
up that ain't Harper has a real chance of being government. The Tories have
no real somebody to take over either it reminds me of the Mulroney era.
Trudeau is new young women like him
The real essence of an election is "make the voters hate them more than they
hate you and right now they are disatisfied with what we have.

The party system holds the country back from real progress when people vote for a team rather than the policies or their MP as a person.

The only hope of Harpers group even having a minority is the strength
of the NDP. If it breaks wrong in central Canada for the Tories they
could even end up third place this is going to be a tight situation and
do not under estimate young Trudeau. Youth could jump in with both
feet and if that happens bye bye Steve

I doubt Harpo is running next time around. The writing is on the wall. People want a change. I see a Liberal minority with NDP backup.

Cliffy that is what I was alluding to. If the vote had gone less than six percent
in some ridings in Ontario the Tories would have lost their ability to have a
majority. If central Canada goes Liberal and the the Prairie starts to slip
away from Harper which is slowly happening now the Tories could end up in
third spot. Not a sure thing but it is possible.
I don't think many realize how weakened the Tories are. And Trudeau is seen
as new blood by young voters.

I don't think the Youth vote will be enough. Those that bother anyway.

I will tell you what. If the Tories lose the next election I will happily acknowledge my poor judgment, but I think guys are doing some very serious wishful thinking at his point.

Take a look at Nenshi in Calgary's 2010 election. The youth vote is what gave him the mayors chair. The "old timers" had discounted him.
