WINNIPEG - Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger doesn't plan to demote his deputy minister for his controversial racial remark.
"The member in question has regretted those comments. He has apologized for them," Selinger said during question period.
On Thursday, APTN National News revealed Aboriginal and Northern Affairs Minister Eric Robinson criticized the "ignorance of do-good white people" in a Nov. 22 e-mail. The comment referred to a burlesque performer's contribution to a fundraising calendar for Osborne House, a battered women's shelter.
