Councillor Doug Ford repairs flood damage at a constituent's house

Doug Ford made a house call this week as part of his council duties and ended up repairing flood damage at a home.

After inspecting the damage, Mayor Rob Ford’s brother surprised the homeowners on Monday by coming back a few hours later to patch up the problems outside of the dwelling in the Kipling Ave.-Dixon Rd. area.

Resident Merle Anderson couldn’t say enough about the city councillor’s helping hand.

“I’ll give him an A-plus,” Anderson said. “He did an excellent job. He really went all out for us.”

The home was hit with flooding and a sewer backup during last July’s major storm.
