Just thought I'd drop in this little gem. After years of corporate tax cuts we have Bombardier laying off 3000 employees and tranferring the jobs to Mexico. And that is entirely the problem with across the board tax cuts that make no distinction between businesses that actually create jobs and those that don't.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am not saying that some of the many tax cuts handed out to big business in Canada have not served to create a few jobs, but in this case they certainly did not . Developments like this certainly tend to weaken the claim that lower taxes act as an incentive to big business to create jobs, unless those in favour of such policies intend that the jobs be created in some other country.
