as NDP move into statistical tie with Tories: poll

Only a month into the leadership of Thomas Mulcair, the NDP has moved into a statistical tie with the federal Conservatives in the latest Nanos poll, while Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s leadership ratings have drastically dropped.

The NDP surge comes as the Conservative government has taken hits on the bungled F-35 file and the robocall scandal.

The Tories led at 34.7%, closely followed the NDP at 32.4%, while the Liberals trail at 23.3% in the poll. The Greens and the Bloc Quebecois come in at 4.2% and 3.9%, respectively. Almost 19% of voters said they were undecided in the poll taken between April 13 and April 18.

If an election were called Canadians would step back from the NDP pretty quickly for fear of getting them as Government.

I go so far to predict yet another Conservative Majority until the Liberals unscrew their heads from their asses.

I'd be tempted to vote for whatever Politician calls for the US to install the same measures that they placed on Canada over mad-cow. After all there is no mildly pissed off label available.

Has any politician even addressed that or is that a forbidden subject they all agree on?

The NDP should be put into a majority just to toss out the two main parties for at least one term. Never know in 4 yrs they may have shown they do a better job for the voters or we have our minute of rage and then ......

Not in Alberta.
That's what they said about the Social Credit party, when they forgave personal loans they were unbearable for the next 20 years. Today you need a bigger carrot to get what you want rather than a bigger stick (if you don't want force involved).

Not sure that's true. It's something that Mulcair has made his focus.
The mantra that he repeats at every rally is his desire to achieve 'competent public administration'.

In addition to their goals, Mulcair also projects very well in the House of Commons, able to debate with the best of them, stand up to Harper, and stay in control.

Well he has stepped away from the unions - Looking more and more at trade agreements - Who knows how the party will evolve to the center.
Wait for their next policy convention - I am sure the fur will fly.

And like Harper - Party MP's - do not fuk with Mulcair - Both cut from the same cloth.

People were talking at the booth, and realized they weren't racist homophobes.

They were racist homophbne lite.

Do some research on the factions within WR- Not all were racist homophobes. To label all WR as that is ridiculous.

1/3 of the PC vote came from the Liberals. And a substantial number from the NDP.

So are you still offended when people think you are a Dipper - NDP?
