The following two paragraphs are copied from "National Post" this morning. Ain't this just frickin' lovely?

"MONTREAL • Conrad Black has published a thousand-page biography of Richard Nixon, but as he spoke to students at McGill University on Wednesday, he had all of 15 minutes to convey his thoughts on the former U.S. president. Anything longer, and the warden would have cut the call.
The rapid-fire lecture, delivered over the phone from within the walls of a Florida prison, touched on the late Mr. Nixon's Quaker upbringing, his views on race, the Vietnam War, the Watergate break-in and his years out of office. Through it all, the 20 undergraduates sat rapt, leaning forward to hear their guest lecturer's voice coming through a BlackBerry speaker phone."

So it seems Conrad's fascination with American Presidents continues, which seems to afflict most Canadian Neoconservatives. Certainly nothing in Canada persuaded him that NOT revoking his Canadian citizenship represented anything but a stumbling block to his becoming a Lord. :roll:

Unfortunately for him the prisoner swap agreements with U.S. means he likely would have been out of jail and on parole if he'd retained it.

I'd consider reading his book, but the 1000 page length indicates to me that prison has not restrained any of his verbosity and intellectual arrogance.

McGill University's new ranking should be around universities from North Korea or Zimbabwe for giving this hoodlum a podium to lecture students. What a disgrace. McGill. liked to call itself Harvard of the North, now it's Sing-sing.
