Biased or non-biased?
United States, richest country on Earth by GDP, scores lower than Canada.
And by GDP, happiest countries on Earth has less.

What is Gross Domestic Product?
Its a measure of goods and services (wealth) that exists within a country.
Even if GDP is lower, it is evident that a country can be much...much happier.

I guess money just can't buy happiness :p

Much of the USA's wealth is in the hands of the wealthy elite class. The vast majority of us work for a living and rarely enjoy the luxuries they do.

The man who does the survey says Columbia and Guatemala are Western countries. Is that so? Guatemala is not rich or very democratic.
The quote:

Veenhoven says all countries in the top group scored closely, with the differences small.
"All these countries in the top are Western and they're rich," Veenhoven told CTV.ca in a phone interview from Rotterdam. "They're democratic, and they have a lot of gender equality and are fairly tolerant."
