Even though this is an American story I relate to it, I rarely use cash anymore, almost always debit and sometimes credit.
One in 10 Americans don’t carry paper money anymore

And yes I know that our "paper" money is not made of paper no more.

I often don't have cash on me unless I am making a conscious effort because I know I am going somewhere that doesn't take cash. If I could use my credit card everywhere, I would happily never deal with the stuff.

Northern Ontario,
Only carry coffee money on me except when I'm travelling, Then I keep enough for a full tank of gas, just in case their debit doesn't work where I stop........It's happened to me before...

Yes the electronic payment system still has it flaws. I can't see where we're at the stage for doing away with cash completely, although I rarely use it myself.

I see this more and more myself. People getting a coffee and swiping their debit or credit card.

To each his own I guess.

You're just noticing this now Walt?

You should talk to your whippersnappers more often.
