Men apparently seeking human breast milk to get buff

Some CrossFit enthusiasts and bodybuilders are turning to human breast milk for what they believe are the natural health benefits, according to a classified site.
One Langley, B.C., mom told Seattle's KOMO News she has made $700 towards her son's college fund selling breast milk to nourish babies — and men — in the U.S. In Canada, it's illegal to sell bodily fluids, including breast milk.
"My own personal opinion is breast milk from a human being is way more natural than drinking from another species' milk," said Rowse, the mother of an 11-month-old boy.
She also donates milk to the B.C. Children's Hospital.
She says she's sold her milk to three men.
"I just find that they're very secretive. Even when they call me their numbers are blocked. They just don't want to be seen or known," Rowse told the station.
On onlythebreast.com there's a section for "men buying breast milk."
One man in Jacksonville, Fla., said he's "replacing protein shakes with breast milk" because it's "much safer."
Another man said he's retired from the Lewiston, Idaho, fire department after more than 25 years and wants a local source of breast milk for his health program.
Some of the men claim they're cancer patients, diabetic, or calcium deficient, and are seeking fresh human milk for health benefits, while others appear to have a fetish.
Experts say there's no evidence of health benefits for adults.
The Canadian Pediatric Society also warns against sharing human milk that hasn't been screened, tested and pasteurized, because of the risk of contamination.
