A B.C. woman is accused of murdering her 26-year-old daughter-in-law, Penticton RCMP say.
Roxanne Louie, who moved to Vancouver from Oliver, B.C., visited relatives in Penticton over the Christmas holidays. A family member contacted police after Louie missed her flight back to Vancouver on Jan. 4.
Grace Robotti, 65, is charged with second-degree murder.
Robotti's brother, Pier Robotti, 63, is charged with interfering with human remains and being an accessory after the fact.
Investigators have recovered Louie's body, but no details have been released on the cause of death.
Louie, a member of the Osoyoos Indian Band, leaves behind a three-year-old son, according to a Facebook group in her name.
The accused appeared in court Monday.
