per student to help with daycare because the Teachers are locked out.


Is what the teachers are asking for more than this $40.00 a day........?






While a media blackout continues, information received suggests that "one of the major stumbling blocks in the contract that the government wants the teachers to sign is that there is language/wording that virtually recreates all the conditions set out in Bills 27, 28 and 22."


Again the B.C. Teachers' Federation (BCTF) went back to the Supreme Court, and in January 2014 the court again ruled in the teachers' favour, saying "the government did not negotiate in good faith with the union after the Bill 28 decision.... Their strategy was to put such pressure on the union that it would provoke a strike by the union."

At some point the media blackout will end and the teachers will be able to explain what's been going on. The Liberals will be intensely embarrassed, not only in front of their adversaries but in front of their supporters. Those supporters will not be happy.

It all comes down to the fact that the BC Liberals are not Liberals at all. They are conservatives, actually Social Credit/BC Reform/ \Liberals. They hijacked the party when Vanderscam tried to hijack the BC Reform. This strike is all about a power play by Crispy Clark and her thugs. This dispute could have been avoided if it weren't for her ego getting in the way.
