The father of the man who murdered B.C. teen Taylor Van Diest has admitted to helping his son hide after the crime, according to local media reports.
Stephen Roy Foerster, 60, pleaded guilty Wednesday to being an accessory after the fact, Kelowna Capital News reported.
His son, Matthew Foerster, 28, is serving a life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder last month.
Van Diest, 18, was found late Halloween night 2011, badly beaten and unconscious near train tracks while still dressed in her zombie costume. She was taken to a local hospital and died the next day.
The report said court heard how the accused bought fake ID for his son so he could live and work undetected in the ski resort town of Collingwood, Ont., which is where police arrested him in April 2012.
The elder Foerster was arrested the same day at his Cherryville, B.C., home.

He will of course do time not enough time but he will do time
I can't imagine the length this man went to to allow his son a
murdering hate filled person to have access to prey on other
young women. How could even a parent justify something
like this
