World scientists have officially changed Ottawa's climate designation from 'humid continental' to 'semi-arid'. Climatologists have observed a severe atmospheric transformation in the region since 1867.
Dr. Alvin Seville of Environment Canada blamed a huge reduction in rainfall as the reason.
"Queen Victoria is to blame for the switch." Dr Seville stated.
"Designating Ottawa as the nation's capital, and the subsequent migration of politicians to the area, has caused a monumental atmospheric change. No rain can fall. Clouds cannot form because of all the hot air rising into the sky."
He added, "If it weren't for the long summer, Christmas and Easter recesses (totaling almost 150 days! - Murphy), Ottawa would be a desert. and no one could live there."
