Another Halloween, another inappropriate costume.
Amazon has been forced to remove a "sexy" burka costume sold in the United Kingdom after it prompted furious comments from people who called the costume “racist” and slammed it as "Islamophobic."
The "sexy Saudi burka Islamic costume" was advertised as being "made from a lovely soft stretch material" complete with a full-face veil, according to the Daily Mail.
One user left a one-star rating with the comment, "You are all disgusting racists. My culture is not your costume," according to the Daily Mail.
People are also upset over an "Arab" costume modeled by a white man with darkened faces.
After the backlash, Amazon released a statement to Metro UK saying, “All Marketplace sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who don’t will be subject to action including potential removal of their account."
While this particular costume has been removed, other sexy burka costumes are still available on the site.
