AUSTIN - The George W. Bush Presidential Center has joined the holiday festivities, offering for sale a Christmas tree ornament that features a painting by the former U.S. head of state.
The ornament, selling for $29.98, is an unsigned Bush painting of a cardinal on a tree branch in a metal frame, with a ribbon attached so it can be hung.
Bush has taken up painting in his retirement, producing still lifes, self portraits and images of animals. His wife, Laura, thought the painting of the cardinal could be used to celebrate the holiday season.
"Laura liked the bright red of the cardinal and the greens of the foliage, and chose my painting, for which I am grateful, to become the Christmas card and the ornament," Bush said in a video for the presidential center.
Proceeds from sales go back into the center, which opened this year, and to charities it supports.

I had a George Bush head and bust of rubber used it for a dog toy
I Have to admit if it was an art piece done by George it's not bad but
then the guy should have been in a facility weaving baskets.

Civility in America has disappeared completely those who hated Bush
hate Bush and those who Hate Obama still hate Obama.
The problem is if there is to be any progress people have to stop hating
each other. If Bush actually produced the artwork he should be commended
for it it is actually pretty good.
I didn't like Bush I think he set up the present day mess America is going through
and Obama has made some progress and has also made some of the same
mistakes. Isn't it time to start lessening the hatred and start solving the problems.

It's OK wally. We all know that junior, like ronnie raygun were not made head of their party because of their smarts. Just their ability to follow orders and read the telaprompter with a straight face.

My dear friend, there is no denying that GWB threw away an empire and enabled the election of Barack Obama. GWB had good intentions, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. With the election and reelection of obama there is no longer any place in this country for people like us. We are like wounded bears.

Obama's race has bought him immunity from criticism. And in the process it has created hate between whites and blacks. The entire trajectory of the country has been changed.

Obama needs to commit suicide. So should Bush. If either of them got close to me god help them.

Here I was expecting a voodoo doll that I could put on top of the tree and shove some white spruce splinter up his *** as revenge for all the frogs he blew up with firecrackers.
